About the role

Slash is, at its core, an engineering company, and is on a mission to build the best engineering team. We are looking for infrastructure engineers who obsess over building reliable systems and are excited to be part of our early story. Our ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership and enjoys owning projects from inception to scaling in production.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be responsible for keeping Slash’s production environment up and healthy.

  • Scale and iterate on our infrastructure as we grow (we’re growing really fast)

  • Improve the speed & reliability of our continuous delivery & integration pipeline.

  • Own and execute against PCI, SOC 2 and all relevant compliance standards 

  • Architect security alerts, controls, code audits in AWS

  • Monitor, track and analyze security events and leverage that information to iterate and improve our systems.

  • Write libraries and infrastructure tooling to speed up internal development and complicated workflows

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Loves thinking about shipping and scaling reliable infrastructure all the time

  • Own projects end-to-end

  • Has experience shipping high-quality software

  • Experience scaling distributed systems to handle high levels of burst traffic

  • (a plus if) Experience in a regulated industry whereby Compliance Standards are of extreme importance
