Sales at Slash

At Slash, customer-centricity leads growth, and our Sales team is front and center. We’re building a premier issuing platform coupled with fully-fledged banking capabilities. Our Sales team will help us identify new verticals to serve, close new business and help our current customer base grow. We power our Sales team with a world-class issuing product, constantly evolving to serve new use cases. We’re looking to build a team from the ground up that can take the lead on growth and help our business mature.

About the role

A Mid-Market Sales Leader at Slash will be responsible for growing our corporate card business, devising vertical-specific go-to-market strategies and leading our outbound sales effort. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of generating and closing leads selling corporate card products to a combination of SME’s and enterprises. As a self-starter, this person will be expected to hit the ground running, building and managing a sales pipeline while helping steer the company towards promising new verticals and features.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Closing new business and building, owning and growing a qualified outbound sales pipeline covering multiple verticals

  • Managing and upselling to an existing book of high card-spend businesses

  • Researching and developing a profound understanding of the card issuing needs of different business verticals

  • Identifying new verticals for Slash to begin serving, and helping steer product development in these directions

  • Learning about our suite of products, including our API, to effectively sell to and serve our growing customer base

  • Partner with stakeholders internally in delivering product suggestions from customer discovery and feedback

  • Helping design internal tools and processes to manage outreach, sales cycles and portfolio performance tracking

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has extensive sales and team leadership experience selling corporate card products to multiple verticals

  • Is excited about building a sales team from the ground up, helping create training materials and onboarding representatives

  • Enjoys traveling, and is ready to represent Slash at conferences across the country

  • Is ready to own sales projects end-to-end, helping guide internal tool and process development to serve a growing customer base

  • Understands and can translate the complex issuing needs of customers to clear and precise product development suggestions

  • Is comfortable handling high-velocity sales cycles

  • Enjoys working as part of cross-functional teams
